It's been a contentious issue over the last couple of Prime Wars
installments, and it's only getting more intense. We can see the appeal of stickers to solve budgetary problems, but we can also see the stickers peel - often before we've even bought the toy! In this editorial, RAC goes over the hows and whys of stickers and cites the remarkable consensus growing in a consensus-resistant collector community: Hasbro, Please Stop.

While still what we would consider early in its life cycle, it seems that a running change has already been carried out on the latest member of the generations Starscream family. Jason Rye
reported this finding to us, which involves an alteration to how Starscream's wings/backpack connect to the body. The design tweak is said to improve how the jet mode comes together, and may have other benefits as well. You can see a side by side comparison of the two versions of Starscream, find out more detail, as well as get one of the batch codes identified as being associated with this running change below. has found a new seasonal Transformers product: Valentines Day cards that convert to a tiny thumb war arena complete with temporary thumb tattoos! These use the new "Evergreen" character designs that we're also seeing used for the new Cyberverse
animated series premiering much later this year. Keep reading to see!
Transformers Authentics, the "evergreen" style simple budget figures that seem to be taking after the Cyber Battalion series now have product listings on Hasbro's website. The first batch including Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Starscream, and Megatron are not yet available for purchase from Hasbro Toy Shop, with their "Buy" buttons leading to error pages. But these listings do confirm the SRP, with prices listed at $4.99 each. The listings include the same images that we saw with the Amazon releases recently. Keep reading for links to the individual pages.
Blast Off has been leaked a couple of times, enough to be reasonably sure that it was something to actually exist in the upcoming product line. We have a bit more confirmation of that now through a listing on ACD Distribution. This doesn't give any new information, but it's joined by a second listing that is much more interesting for its implications. Listed additionally as a Generations Special Edition Deluxe is a Repugnus! Repugnus had been conspicuous as the only Monsterbot character that didn't end up making it to the Deluxe scale, but it seems that will finally be achieved, bringing the whole team together. Keep reading for some good old speculation!
We still don't know when or how (c'mon, Toy Fair!) but it seems like it's happening: regular Weibo leaker tf-factory
has posted leaked artwork for Power of the Primes
Blast Off! It's a nice looking painting which, unsurprisingly, shows him off in his shuttle mode to emphasize the Unite Warriors
mold in use here. Also, we've got artwork for Studio Series
Optimus Prime and Starscream. Click through!
Takara has released 10 new figures into their Power of The Primes line. This wave features quite a few dinobots and fighter jets including Grimlock, Sludge, Starscream, and Dreadwing. Also included is a prime master of Alchemist Prime.
2005 Forums member Optimus423
has posted a set of new listings from ToyRUs' computers detailing upcoming Transformers assortments, especially those surrounding the Studio Series and Bumblebee: The Movie
toylines! There's four different pricepoints for "Energon Igniters," which I guess we'll find out about at Toy Fair, as well as some possible TRU exclusives including what could be the long-rumored Thundercracker recolor of Power of the Primes
Voyager Starscream. Keep reading for the list!

Autobase Aichi has gone to the trouble of extracting illustrations of the "Evergreen" designs used for the Authentics
toyline from Hasbro's annual Corporate Social Responsibility report! Appearing on the cover as well as pages 26, 34, and 59, the art for Bumblebee, Starscream, Grimlock, and Megatron is available (in relatively small sizes). Keep reading to have a look!
Perfect Effect promised a short while ago that upgrade products for Power of The Primes were on the way for anyone looking to improve their official toys. We now have a first look at what they have in store, in the form of PC-21, PC-22, and a sneak peek at PC-23. 21 and 22 are hand and foot replacement sets for Volcanicus and Starscream respectively, similar to what was released during Combiner Wars but with updated styling. PC-23 isn't mentioned specifically, but the demo build of Volcanicus can be seen with new armor pieces likely filling the same role as the "armor" made for Menasor, and a shadowed-out gigantic sword. Releases are due to start in March. Click through to see the pictures!
RAC continues his look back at 2017 with his three favorite comics of the year - plus a couple of runners-up! It's been a good year for Transformers comics overall, and there've been some pleasant surprises for us. Including - and RAC was very skeptical about the possibility of this at the beginning of last year - some Shared Hasbro Universe books that turned out truly excellent. Keep reading to see the list! ...well, it's more of an article. We need a word that combines those two things...

We have a mini-roundup going for information coming about about the upcoming Studio Series movie-based line. What we're currently interpreting as a sort of Generations-equivalent for the movie series seems to be shaping up to be fairly sizeable thanks to a dump from a store inventory system by one Mr. Chaos
who has provided UPCs and other data for us to examine, showing many Deluxes and Voyagers, plus the Leader Grimlock and Blackout toys. Autobase Aichi has also dug up a couple of photos of some of the toys seemingly from an event in China, though the author doesn't know specifics. Click through for more detail and shots of Starscream, Optimus, Ratchet and Crowbar!
