Tailgate Tailgate

Recently, Hasbro Australia had to decline to show off Power of The Primes Legends wave 2 at a fan meet event, by request of Hasbro's home office here in the US who had different plans for revealing those toys. But it turns out that decision wasn't entirely in their hands. Via Singapore retailer Robo Robo and Raid Raptor on Planet Iacon, we have photos of the new figures, which includes Tailgate, redeco/retool of Windcharger, and new molds Battleslash and Roadtrap representing the Duocon Battletrap. We have the photos mirrored below. Keep reading to check out the brand new toys!

Ozformers admin griffin has posted images of a recent fan event held by Hasbro Australia! The fans were brought in to have a look at the first wave of Power of the Primes... and almost got a look at wave 2 Legends-class figures Tailgate, Battleslash, and Roadtrap - but those weren't cleared for reveal by Hasbro USA yet. But Australia did get the first official in-hand photos of the wave 2 Prime Masters! Keep reading for photos of the event!

TFW2005 user Mr. Chaos has posted a listing of UPCs for upcoming Power of the Primes products from ToysRUs' computer! If you've followed the PotP leaks since July and August, the contents of Wave 2 and 3 aren't exactly a surprise - but this is pretty good confirmation of what's to come. Keep reading for more info!

UPDATED with more slides! In the single largest leak we've yet seen out of Weibo, the entire first four waves of Power of the Primes have been leaked. We've got a Dinobot Combiner, the Terrorcons, a glimpse of the next Leader Optimus Prime, and much more! Keep reading for a list of what's here and why we're pretty sure it's all real!

Man, it's going to be neat to see what TakaraTomy does with this one, huh? Action Robo's Facebook page has posted a listing for LG-43 Dinosaurer, AKA Trypticon, as a late August release costing 25,000 Yen, or roughly $223 USD by current exchange rates. Keep reading to see the listing (in Japanese)!

IGN has posted images in both prototype and render form of Titans Return Trypticon in all three modes! On top of which, we have now learned that the the version of Full-Tilt on the mold is indeed a removable, fully-functional Titans Return Deluxe, complete with a Titan Master named Necro! Keep reading for more details and mirrors of the images!

Earlier this week, Vanderbilt University published an article summarizing the results of a research project undertaken recently. The researchers were studying facial recognition, specifically the ability of people to recognize someone else's face. Challenging the common conclusion that capability in this is based on gender, the researchers brought in some special tools: Transformers. The essential theory being that the childhood associations of facial feature and structure - such as one might get from their toys - inform processing in later life. Find out more below!

Coming directly from artist Sara Pitre-Durocher, we have our first look at the finished art for MTMTE #54's retailer incentive cover! Featuring colors by Josh Perez, the image shows Windblade visiting Swerve's on The Lost Light and having a drink with her Camien friends - as well as Tailgate and Cyclonus! If you haven't already, check out the preview for issue 54 right here, and don't forget to catch the first review of the issue next week right here!

There were likely no small number of fans eagerly awaiting the scene in MTMTE #53 where Whirl and Cyclonus talk about their feelings... or more specifically where Cyclonus was goaded into talking about his feelings towards Tailgate. Now it's revealed that before Hayato Sakamoto had been brought in, regular artist Alex Milne had completed inks on his version of those two pages! Keep reading to see them mirrored here - and don't worry about spoilers, as lettering had not been completed yet!

We'll have more photo galleries of the Victorion set a little later on, but in the meantime here's something fun to hold you over! Rust Dust from Victorion's Rust Renegades team joins Tailgate (portrayed by Maketoys Rear End) to get an education in Earth culture - starting with the internet. But since Tailgate has never been to Earth, aside from that one wacky adventure in Swerve's TV-based simulation, Rust Dust may not have picked the best teacher... Keep reading to see the full image and find out what insights Tailgate has to offer!

The Lost Light is on lockdown. The crazed mnemosurgeon Sunder is on the loose, and the only thing standing between him and his intended victim Skids are a handful of Autobots who intend to stop him - or, like Tailgate, don't know what's going on... 'Speak, Memory!' Part 2 is written by James Roberts with art by Hayato Sakamoto (coordination by Phase6) and colors by Joana Lafuente. Click here to continue to the review!

Today on Weibo, X-Transbots has shared new photos of their Master Mini series of figures. Now in production are Boost, based on Windcharger, and Hatch, based on Tailgate. These are part of X-Transbots' Masterpiece-compatible line, and each features an option part or two to help the figures reflect either media appearances or be a little more toy-oriented. With these samples being from the actual production run, retailers should be seeing these come in stock pretty soon. We've mirrored the photos, so click through to check them out.

On the forums TMan978 has shared two new videos of a recent third party product. Maketoys Rear End is the first up, representing Tailgate as he appears in IDW comics. The second video focuses on Rear End's included Hurricane upgrade kit to make over Reveal The Shield Cyclonus to be a bit more similar to IDW, and included at the end is a quick walk through of the installation process for the kit. Both videos are embedded below, so click through and take a look!

TakaraTomy Mall has posted a preorder page for a clear plastic Transformers Display Stand due out on December 20th! Priced at 540 Yen each or about $5, the stands have a peg designed to fit into 5- or 3mm sockets and is shown holding up Deluxes, Voyagers, and small Masterpieces in the form of Arcee, Evasion Mode Optimus Prime, and Road Rage! Keep reading for the photos. UPDATED with a compatibility list!

Stanley Cheung has posted to Facebook with a few quick photos of the newly released Rear-End and Hurricane Upgrade set, focusing particularly on the upgraded Cyclonus. He's added some comments on the set, remarking on Tailgate in a way we can't quite decipher from the machine translation, but the notes on Cyclonus are clearer on at least one point: The newly added hands aren't quite big enough to correctly grip the included sword. While potentially disappointing, it's not a flaw that's beyond fixing by shaving parts down carefully. Click through to see the photos!
