Shizuoka Hobby Show 2019 - TakaraTomy Transformers Display With Siege, Studio Series, And Masterpiece

Dengeki Hobby has brought us coverage from the 58th Shizuoka Hobby Show happening this week in Japan. The event has just kicked off, and TakaraTomy already has a nice little display of their products out for everyone to look at. Notable is our first look at MP-46 Masterpiece Blackarachnia in color (albeit obviously a hand-painted sample) after the prototype was first unveiled a few months ago in standard flat grey. The spider mode is still yet to be seen, which one might choose to take as a bad sign since there was also a bit of a wait before finally getting to see Masterpiece Dinobot's beast mode.

Other things on exhibit right now include Studio Series representatives Hightower, Long Haul, car mode Dropkick, helicopter Drift, and Leader class Dark of The Moon Optimus Prime. Generations is represented with a few Siege items, consisting of Barricade, Thundercracker, and Galaxy Optimus Prime. Rounding out the display is MPM-8 Megatron.

As this is just the first day, it's little surprise we haven't seen anything completely new. We can't say for sure if reveals are in the planning here, but if we're going to get any new news, it's likely to come this weekend.
