Spotlight: Tankor - The 2007 Nick Roche & James Roberts Collaboration That Almost Was

In 2009, More Than Meets The Eye writer James Roberts made his sort-of professional writing debut on IDW's Transformers comics with a credit on All Hail Megatron #15, later co-writing Last Stand Of The Wreckers with Nick Roche. But Roberts almost joined IDW's Transformers team even earlier! Nick Roche has posted initial designs he produced for Spotlight: Octane, a one-shot pitched to IDW with Roberts as co-writer. Sadly it was not to be, and Roberts' full debut as a writer would wait another 4 years. Meanwhile Octane, currently referred to as "Tall Tankor," was last seen on Cybertron in the Transformers: Windblade comic series.
