Japanese website Game Watch has an article that looks like it may be an interview with one of the designers for the TakaraTomy Star Wars Powered By Transformers series, the successor to the old Star Wars Crossovers series by Hasbro. There's a lot of Japanese text we can't read which probably has some interesting insights, but until or unless someone does a proper translation, we can at least be treated to some new images of the Millennium Falcon/Han Solo & Chewbacca toy, getting some new looks at its details, how it separates, and glimpses of transformation. This mash-up of Transformers and Star Wars gives the Millennium Falcon the ability to split apart and transform into Han Solo and Chewbacca robots! Robot Han can be armed with his blaster pistol while Chewbacca has his bowcaster. Mini figures of Han and Chewbacca are also included. Estimated to arrive June 2018.
Via a TaoBao
seller, we now have the first color images of the Star Wars Powered By Transformers
Millennium Falcon! As with the old Star Wars Crossovers
figures, the Falcon splits into Han Solo and Chewbacca figures. However, this time we're able to say with much greater certainty that this is an all-new design. Keep reading to see the old and new Falconbots!
TakaraTomy has published a new video to their website detailing the transformation of the Star Wars Powered By Transformers
Darth Vader TIE Fighter! The figure looks good and looks to have a decently involving but not difficult transformation. We can't embed the video here, so click through for a link!
Indeed, "Star Wars Powered By Transformers" appears to be the staggeringly unweildy line name for the new iteration of Star Wars Transformers. Toys R Us Japan has added a product page for Darth Vader TIE Advanced featuring out first color images of the toy. Naturally it sticks to mainly grey, favoring the vehicle colors, but the Vader chest piece and helmet do add a bit of the needed black. The Toys R Us page notes a retail release of April 2nd and a slightly reduced price of 4,999 Yen, or about $45. Keep reading to see the photos!
