Studio Series Mixmaster First Look In Hand Photos Featuring Devastator's Head

Though the original source apparently couldn't be found to credit, an Instagram post this morning has given us our first look at an in-hand sample of Studio Series Mixmaster. Mixmaster will form the head for Studio Series Devastator, and it looks like a significant portion of the toy was devoted to that sole function.

Mixmaster appears as a rather spindly robot wearing a huge backpack in which is contained the head of the combined form, easily taking up a third of the toy's overall volume. For the purpose of getting devastator's proportions right, this is a necessary consideration even if it leaves the robot perhaps not looking the best it could have on its own. For as much as the Devastator element can be seen to dominate this figure, the combiner's head is pretty nicely detailed, and even seems to have a movable jaw. It's hard to look at it and not think that it could do with a bit more paint, but for those inclined to detail up their toys, the sculpting is giving a great base to work from. I for one can't wait to see what this looks like after someone has done some extra work on it.
