Stanley Cheung has posted a pair of new magazine scans to Facebook showing of Transformers: The Last Knight TLK-15 Calibur Optimus Prime! Seemingly a further refinement of the Leader-class Optimus Prime mold from Transformers: Age of Extinction - which Takara had already remolded extensively last time - Calibur Prime now sports an axe and a massive shield to go with his Temenos Sword. And the shield becomes part of the truck bed for vehicle mode storage! Keep reading to see.
We've chosen the spelling of "Calibur" for Prime's new prefix based on the name of the sword Excalibur of Arthurian legend as opposed to "Caliber" which, though it has the virtue of being an entire real word, doesn't really fit the knightly theme of the film as well.
The figure is scheduled for July at a price of 8,000 Yen, so importing it will not be cheap. The Last Knight is known in Japan as Transformer: Saigo no Kishi-Oh or Transformers: The Last Knight-King.
