TaoDoll x Transformers - Optimus Prime & Bumblebee Cross Paths With Mascot of Chinese Online Retailer TaoBao

TFW2005 reports that a new set of SD-style figures are coming of G1 Optimus Prime and Bumblebee under the title Taodoll x Transformers. Why do they have those odd cowlicks? As it turns out, there's an answer for that. Click through for details!

As it turns out, the Tao Doll is the mascot character for TaoBao, the massive Asian online retailer. If you've been listening to Radio Free Cybertron or its sister show There Goes My Money, you've likely heard the name and seen some of the bizarre wonders that diecast has ordered from there. But the important part is that the cowlicks on Prime and Bumblebee are to tie into the image of the Tao Doll.
