Prices will vary by store, but Sipher was able to find Legends - including Seaspray and Cosmos! - ranging from $5-7, Titan Masters for under $4, and Deluxes for $10.70. In Demand Toys on Facebook has posted a set of new stock images for Earthrise Leader class Optimus Prime. We get our first look here at the front and back of the packaging for the upcoming toy, plus a quick series of shots recreating some of the CG model promo shots with an actual production sample. This is bound to confuse things though, since these images show an Optimus Prime once again with grey hands and yellow eyes, while we recently saw leaked photos where the hands were once again blue, along with the eyes having been made a cartoon-inspired blue.

The photographer that took this batch of images seems to have some sort of problem with elbow orientation, as Wheeljack's arms are arranged unnaturally as well. But not to worry - Cliffjumper is not stuck with inward-facing elbows. You can see in our photos from the Earthrise reveal event in New York last month that there are bicep and wrist swivels, allowing the elbows to bend forward normally.

In fact in this photo (37 of 85 at the above link), Cliffjumper's right arm appears to have the forearm rotated around backwards! That 5mm socket ought to be facing outward. That means the only thing to have reservations about is size versus price.

If you think about it, Cliffjumper is like a scale model of WFC Leader Class toys: A figure equal in size to the next price point down given a heavy serving of accessories to fill it out for the price point. Cliffjumper does obviously have a fair degree of additional design complexity compared to an actual POTP Legend, though. The ankle tilts and absence of ball joints aren't things you'd have found on a Legend, and while I haven't worked out all its tricks yet, the transformation also looks more involved.

As long as Hasbro doesn't make a habit of this, and only uses this method sparingly to finish out the last few mini-vehicle characters that need updates, I think I'm willing to live with the price point tradeoff. I maybe slightly hate that I am willing to do so, but that's just the life I live... ?

It looks like he can’t bend his elbow in the right direction. Price for the size blows, but not adding a swivel Joint near the elbow for that price is absurd.

The updated batch of stock photos we got to have a look at this morning included full front and back panel package shots of the wave 1 Deluxe assortment. We already knew what the packaging design for Earthrise looked like thanks to a much earlier showing of one of the Voyager boxes, so seeing the design of the Deluxe packaging wasn't a revelation. But it was still useful. The boxes provide a fixed frame of reference, since we know that they all need to be the same size so they can be packed in a shipping carton together. And so, we could very easily see that Cliffjumper was significantly smaller than any other toy in the assortment. I had to determine just how much smaller.
