Toy Fair 2015 - Official Press Release: Transformers Robots in Disguise Carttoon Network Premier
BaCon - Friday, February 13, 2015

TRANSFORMERS: Robots in Disguise Special Primetime Premiere Airs Saturday, March 14 on Cartoon Network Bumblebee Takes the Spotlight in an All-New Animated Series from
Hasbro Studios

Cartoon Network will unleash TRANSFORMERS: Robots in Disguise on Saturday, March 14 at 6
p.m. (ET/PT) with a special one-hour premiere event. The latest installment in the iconic
franchise features an all new animation style, and builds upon the lore of the iconic
Transformers franchise filled with great humor and lots of fun adventure for fans of all ages.
The new series begins as Bumblebee must step up to be a leader in the years after we left the
Autobots in Transformers Prime. Summoned by Optimus Prime to save Earth from a new
Decepticon threat, Bumblebee puts his light-hearted mettle to the test after assembling a rogue
team of young Autobot action heroes. Bumblebee must balance his job fighting off evil with being equal parts squad leader and coach to a rascally band that needs constant coaxing to learn how to work together. The results are comical when the cool rebel Sideswipe, elite guard cadet Strongarm, bombastic dinobot Grimlock and overly-excited mini-con Fixit must balance keeping the team together with chasing and capturing their new enemies in every episode packed full of action, fun and adventure.

Following the premiere event, new episodes can be seen every Saturday starting on March 21
st at 6:30 a.m. ET/PT.

More RID 2015 News
Amazon has posted listings with images for what are most likely the last two Crash Combiner sets! Primelock (a combination of Optimus Prime & Grimlock) and Saberclaw(Saberhorn & Bisk) are listed as being available in April 2018 - which is a date connected with a lot of Transformers listings of late. It's tough to say if these will ever show up at US domestic retail, but keep reading to see the images.
Robots in Disguise the TV show is over - the toyline isn't to be far behind, either - and it looks like as a closing bow, we're to be treated to some reveals of design and art assets from the development of the series. Artist Walter Gatus has posted quite a bit in his personal portfolio, featuring some early designs, and things going all the way through season 2 and the abbreviated "season 3" featuring Starscream. Fans of the show should find this an enjoyable experience to browse through, as there's lots of interesting stuff to be seen. Check it out mirrored below!
We're at the doorstep of a round of brand new toys, but before we get going on that, we have one more gallery to offer from a little farther back. Earlier this year with the Combiner Force refresh of Robots in Disguise came a new assortment of Warrior Class toys, and among them was Blurr - a crossover character from Rescue Bots! It also happens to be a really solid RID figure, if a tiny bit towards the "simple" side. We have 120 photos showing off both modes, transformation, poseability, and the accessory, and there's a race at the finish! Click through to find the complete gallery below!
Ronald McSanta has a little surprise for Transformers fans at McDonald's next month! We say "little" because there is just one Transformers item in what is a special holiday train set that features an array of popular culture properties including Toy Story, Despicable Me, My Little Pony, Hot Wheels and others. The Transformers toy offering is one from the Robots In Disguise series with Bumblebee sticking his head out a car-carrier type train car. See the image below for the full look.
Tonight we have a brand new gallery for you featuring what seems to be the final Warrior Class mold for the Robots in Disguise line, Twinferno. Distribution for this hasn't been great so far in the US, but it looks like it's starting to gain some traction. Sadly, Twinferno itself feels like a bit of a throwback to early RID toys. In my opinion at least, it lacks the improved feel that the Warrior Class molds have been developing for the last 12-18 months. But it's still got an interesting look in both modes, even if it's not super engaging beyond that. We have over 100 photos of it for you to check out, so click through and head to the gallery now!
