In a first of its kind move, we've learned today via the Preternia Twitter page that Hasbro will be livestreaming its brands panel from their Toy Fair event on Saturday, February 22. The stream will be carried on the Hasbro Pulse Facebook page, and will start at 1:30pm Eastern Time. Traditionally, this presentation has been held for only the invited audience, with recording and photography almost always disallowed.
This most probably means that the presentation won't have anything shown that isn't going to be either part of the anticipated pre-Toy Fair reveals through one or more pop-culture websites, be in the showroom immediately after, or available for immediate preorder. Though it was not exactly common for guests to see top-secret stuff not yet ready for a proper unveiling, in the past there have been special items shown, like development prototypes of Titans Return Trypticon.
If it's your first year following coverage of New York Toy Fair, the Hasbro presentation runs for at least 30 minutes before fan site access to the showrooms begins, and covers all of Hasbro's major brands. So Transformers will just be a small part of this stream, alongside Marvel, Star Wars, Power Rangers, and probably a couple of others.
After the presentation is over and showroom time begins, we will of course have photos of all the shiny new merchandise on display, so make sure to stay here at TFormers to get all of the news coming out of Toy Fair this weekend!
Well, good thing I'll be on my week off. Got something to look forward to now. Seeing how much of my money is going to Hasbro.?
Very cool. ! Looking forward to seeing this
