Toy Fair 2020 - Tiger Transformers G2 Retro LCD Handheld Game Revealed

Just in from The Verge, we have news that Hasbro have joined up with Tiger Electronics to make new versions of the classic monochrome LCD handheld games units. They have a few planned for the first wave with a Transformers: Generation 2 focused game including and a preview shot of the game device revealed.

Hasbro says that each game is “inspired” by the original version from the 1990s. They all sport a familiar control setup, with monochromatic graphics displayed on top of a static, colorful backdrop. Each unit is powered by two AA batteries (which, of course, are not included). “The design and technology were created with the original handheld game unit in mind,” the company says.

There's a certain charm these old handheld games have with me. Can't wait to get this.
