An obscure G1 tribute is brought to us by Universe in the form of Acid Storm. A member of the "Rainmakers" squadron, this Decepticon is responsible for creating acid rain to reek havoc on foes. Read about this latest addition to the Classics/Universe seeker collection by clicking here.

I hope that next time Hasbro decides to redeco the Classics Seeker mold they use the conehead variant, preferably the Thrust version if they still have it. it'd be nice to see some variety in these things.

Or maybe they could mix-and-match, using Ramjet ot Thrust's wings and Starscream's head. That might make things more interesting than straight repaints.

IIRC they destroyed the unique parts used to make Thrust.

I don't think they destroyed them, it's just that FunPub owns the molds.

I can't see Hasbro allowing that.

My understanding is that FunPub licences the rights and likenesses from Hasbro, then contracts directly with TomyTakara to produce the toys - if there are any new molds made, FunPub pays Tomy to develop them independent of Hasbro, and therefore owns them.

It goes down this way because I believe the way the Hasbro/Tomy partnership works is Hasbro owns all of the rights for the characters, but the engineering know-how is the property of Tomy.

Ah, ok. Well either way, we're not getting anything with Thrust parts :tfemo

Any mentioning of the BotCon Seekers (other than to say "Hey, I just saved up and bought a :ghey BotCon Seeker set") shall result in banning for great justice.

*hopefully*

Well LMH did say that though there are ways around it.

Fixed to meet non-banning requirements

Acid Storm is a gift to the kitbashers if nothing else. Given how difficult it was to get a retail-priced seeker for a while there, I expect to see a whole bunch of Sunstorm and other repaints soon. I already have 2 Acid Storms, with six more on order. I expect to screw up a few since I'm new to kitbashing, hence so many.

I love him! He's 5 stars in my book! Now I need Sunstorm and the indigo one (Moonshine? O.o)

Yeah, have Moonshine come with a minicon that transforms into a house trailer :redface

I wouldn't be opposed to them repainting Ramjet in Armada Thrust's colours though.

Oh, and Sunstorm.
