Collection of the Week - Galvatron74's Almost-Complete G1 Collection
Collection Guru - Thursday, April 16, 2009

There are undoubtedly some very dedicated Transformers collectors out there and TFormers Community member "Galvatron74" is definitely up there.

This transfan has amassed almost the entire line of Generation 1 figures that came out during the 1984 - 1987 timespan.

"I have 118 Transformers with 18 being Re-issues," Galvatron writes.

"I just need a handful more to complete the 1984 to 1987 line that were actually in the TV show and movie. I do not consider the mail away toys or deluxe toys as a part of the original G1 line. Hope you enjoy."

Nice Collection! Congratulations on almost completing your G1 collection. I'm only missing G1 TM Needlenose, Spinsiter and Reflector to complete my G1 North American collection and it feels great!

The official IDW Publishing site has been updated with a new cover image for the Transformers: Optimus Prime, Vol. 2 collection. This one sports very heroic looking Optimus Prime and Autobots Pyra Magna and Jetfire. Drawn by artist Priscilla Tramontano. Read on to see the full image and details.
UPDATE: We've been reminded that the figures in this leaked image from Weibo are the Titan Guardians sofubi (Soft Vinyl)-style figures. The figures shown were SDCC 2014 exclusives, and the purple exposed leg is a match for Beast Hunters Shockwave. So, does this "leak" actually mean anything? Who knows, but keep reading to see the image.

Thanks to Nick for letting us know Newsarama has posted the Transformers: Lost Light #13 Full Preview! CABIN FEVER! Crammed into a dead Decepticon astropod that's ten sizes too small, the displaced crew of the Lost Light face their most serious threat yet: each other. As tensions rise and tempers fray, only one Autobot is arrogant enough to think he can save the day. Enter Rodimus, expert mediator.
Virulina, leader of the Darkling Lords, has discovered that the Transformers are vulnerable to magic—and now she's using that weakness to try and gain control of Cybertron and wipe them out! Leoric and Ironhide team up to stop her, but quickly find themselves facing not only the Darkling Lords, but all of New Prysmos itself!
Women Write About Comics have posted an interview with writer Magdalene Visaggio, who's been gone through a crash course on how to handle these Giant Friggin Robots! The Visionaries story takes place with them hiding deep within Cybertron after fleeing from their planet, Prysmos. The story has won some and lost some heroes, which Magdalene gives her take on why they are on Cybertron and the death of Kup. Read on for more.
