New Looks at Animated Japan Blitzwing

Oh yea, here comes Transformers Animated again with extra flavor added by the wonderful people at Takara Tomy. The Japanese have higher standards and it really shows in their Animated editions. Thanks to KO Toys, we get a look at Voyager Blitzwing 2.0 that is compared with the Hasbro edition.

As you may not know, Takara designs all the Transformers toys. It is Hasbro who removes the extra paint apps and chrome to save money. Takara does charge more for their toys, but you generally find they hold their collectible resale value much better than Hasbro's releases.

Something you might notice on the Takara version (left) is the metallic flake paint applications on the body and wings. Like wise, Takara used a traditional purple Decepticon on the cockpit over the gold stamp on the Hasbro version.
