Video Review - iGear PP01 Faith

Thanks again to Peaugh, we have a video review of the first custom from iGear's partnership program, PP01 Faith. The figure is what you would call a mini-Masterpiece Convoy, but does it hold up to the same standards?

Watch the video below to find out!

Sooo..., I'm ready to buy this, but I can't find a single vendor (much less compare). Igear's website lists it as 'Sold Out', and BBTS, TFsource, Digital, Robot Kingdom don't carry.

So, is anybody selling this item?

Your best option would be buying straight from iGear, I think. It's unlikely BBTS and those other online retailers you listed are gonna be stocking Faith Leader.

It's al good.

Again, I'm not knocking the figure, it seems awesome.

It's just the price and my line concerning so that conflict.

In all honesty, I can't wait for the import :tfevil

Grimlock is a perfect example of MP disapointment. The figure looks great, but in comparison it is pretty small but cost nearly double with little to no diecast!?!

Thats why I can live with dulled teeth and claws and just wait for the Hasbro TRU version.

Huh? I swear mine has diecast, he's heavy as hell. I could be wrong though, I'll check him when I get home. It's a great MP though, with the light up weapons and the eye color gimmick.

I'm admittedly smitten with mine though, opinions may vary.

I may be well be wrong about diecast and grimlock. I'll admit it if I am.

Again, these are just things I heard about the figure which as I mentioined I don't have.

If I'm incorrect, I am sorry.

Actually dude, I was wrong. He does have die cast, but it's just the beast mode toes. For some reason I was thinking the torso and maybe the chest were, but no, they're not. In fact, he's not as heavy as I remembered. I was playing with one of my Masterpiece Primes earlier this week and must have somehow gotten them confused on that scale.

My bad.

Grimlock still is a great toy, however, and that opinion I'll fight to the death over :P

This makes me remember the argument I had a while back over the WST and if they had die cast. I had all of them at the time and swore they didn't. Turns out some did, in the most tiny way.

Very nice. Now he is in scale with the other MP and Universe Transformers.

Sorry I never payed more then $70 for a MP figure and I have all but Thundercracker MP-4 and Grimlock.

In all fairness, you probably forgot to specify you didn't get them at the time of the release, that shipping wasn't included and that some of them were probably either loose/complete or just MIB? :)

actualy, yeah I did :P

Outside of the 3 mentioned I never waited on any of the MP releases that I have ever owned.

Looking at my new Tekkaman (awesome) I'm sure you'll understand the point and purpose of shopping around.

Also, My MP Megatrons and upgrate kit are plug free, I got them 'virgin' so to speak. The initial one was $65 shipped from a private seller in Japan at the time of release.

Personally I'd have definitely picked this up if they'd done something about the 'nipples' you can see through Optimus' windscreen/chest. That's been my only gripe about MP Prime at all, that the all Cybertronian hero appears to be a closet S&M fan...

Lol, try rotating the front bumper piece so the chrome side shows through the windows instead of the grey side with the nipple screws! ;)

I've been looking at Prime in the case for 3 yrs now (thats when I got this case) and I never noticed that before :P

Faith Leader is to MP Convoy what Energon TRU DLX Megatron was to the bigger Leader version. Sorta.

I am just amazed at how identical this figure is to MP-01. I'm convinced that someone has developed a shrinking ray. I would rather spend money on the knight morpher than this. If I bought this figure and put it on my shelf it would kinda make MP Optimus less special....I'm sure MP-01 would just b*tch slap his mini me off the shelf anyways....

So I will pass, but nice job on the figure.
