Exclusive: Transformers Prime Voice Cast Revealed Which Includes The Rock
jay - Wednesday, September 08, 2010

Hasbro Studios has finally revealed the voice actors and characters for Transformers: Prime, along with information for the show.

The show will be adding some decent star power with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson joining the cast as the voice of Autobot Cliffjumper, Adam Baldwin (Chuck) as Breakdown, and Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters) as Agent Flower.

Oddly enough, the voice actors for the characters of Bumblebee, and Soundwave were not revealed. These characters were shown during BotCon 2010 back in June.

Two new Decepticons, Breakdown and Knockout have been added to the list of characters.

  • Optimus Prime - Peter Cullen
  • Arcee - Sumalee Montano
  • Bulkhead - Kevin Michael Richardson
  • Ratchet - Jeffrey Combs
  • Bumblebee - Rumored as Josh Keaton (already voicing Jack)
  • Cliffjumper - Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (Entertainment News International exclusive)

  • Megatron - Frank Welker
  • Breakdown - Adam Baldwin
  • Knockout - Daran Norris
  • Starscream - Steve Blum
  • Soundwave - Unknown

  • Jack - Josh Keaton
  • Miko - Tania Gunadi
  • Raf - Andy Pessoa
  • June - Markie Post
  • Agent Flower - Ernie Hudson

The Transformer saga continues as Optimus Prime and the Autobots battle the evil Decepticons, led by Megatron. With the future of the human race hanging in the balance, three young teenagers become critical in helping the Autobots prevent the Decepticon Army from conquering Earth. Prepare to experience the world of Transformers like never before.

The Transformer franchise sees the triumphant return of the Autobots characters to television in cutting edge computer-generated animation. The series both deepens the epic mythology of Autobots and Decepticons, while starting fresh for a new generation of viewers and future Transformers fans. With a bold and modern new look, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and others are back to roll out against Megatron’s latest plots to conquer Earth. The Autobots may be few against the Decepticons menace, but they find increased strength here on their home away from home via bonds they've forged with three human teenagers. Make no mistake, the Transformers series will deliver heavy metal action and nail-biting suspense

The Rock TOTALLY fits Cliffjumper as a voice actor. I'm actually kind of looking forward to some video clips now.

Cant wait to hear The Rock smack talking..

For the first season of BW there was no human interaction. Instead of human interaction they would sometimes reflect on what damage was caused becasue of their fighting. That is pretty much the point of humans being in the show, for us to relate it to real life and how it would effect humanity. W... read more

........I never understand this sentiment. Unless it's a Beast Wars/BM type of show, Transformers shows need human characters to interact with. Heck, even BW had cavemen in it. Transformers robots in disguise. If there weren't any humans, who would they be disguising themselves from?

hmmmm yeeeeeaaaaaaaah I'm going to be buying the complete collection of Transformers animated. Read the pointless and empty synopsis: BORING!!!! Animated was so involved for a transformer cartoon.

Actually, Spike was around 15 in Season 2, as he didn't have his license yet, and Carly did all the non-Autobot driving... What got me was that the Autobots "find increased strength here on their home away from home via bonds they've forged with three human teenagers". Kiss play,... read more

Shout Factory have just posted a new product listing for the Transformers Prime: Ultimate Rivals that will be offered on DVD this fall. Read on for the full details and images.
There've been some pretty spectacular Combiner Wars customs of late - the innovative Raiden that made a 6-part combiner in the format comes to mind. Now, a Japanese Twitter user by the name of @nekogami_red has made the Transformers Prime Decepticons into a combiner! Knock Out, Skyquake, Dreadwing, Airachnid (gotta have a helicopter in there somewhere or it's not Combiner Wars, right?), and Megatron combine to form a body for Unicron! Click through to see the photos.
Not Optimus Prime, not Transformers Prime. Just "Prime." In a bold move, Hasbro is attempting to secure the exclusive trademark rights to use the word "Prime" in reference to "toy robots convertible to other visual toy forms." Are more Primes on the horizon? Is this a pre-emptive move to make sure nobody can Machine Robot Rescue them on a key term in the modern Transformers mythos? No way to tell, but keep reading to see the details of the filing by way of Transformers@TheMoon!
Fans of Transformers Prime will finally get their fill with this listing that just appeared on Amazon for the Complete Series Blu-ray Boxset that is listed for release on August 12, 2016. After watching this via online streams. The great annimation of this series can finally truly be appreciated in a Blu-ray edition. There are no details on extras at this time, but the set is listed for $144.99 USD as an import, without country origin. Treat this as rumor until an official announcement likely to be made as SDCC next month.
The Tranformers Rishing fan page on Facebook have shared news that DeNA's Transformers Rising Mobile Game will be taken offline at the end of this month, November 30th. This closure follows the Transformers Age of Extinction Movie game that was shuttered in September. Meanwhile, the Transformers: Battle Tactics game appears to still be in play with a new game now in Open Beta titled, Transformers: Frontiers.
