Review: War For Cybertron Cliffjumper Figure

It seems too soon, but the Generations lineup is now coming to a close. So many unexplored opportunities are left, especially with the War For Cybertron line. Hasbro sees fit to offer us a final figure in the form of a repaint. Cliffjumper may finally get some respect after years of being dissed on the shelves. Check out this review for the whole story.

So glad they finally made his head right. It would be great if they re-released classics cliffjumper with this head. I hope this is not the end for War for Cybertron figures. I would like to see Ironhide/Ratchet and the jets at least.

You didn't address the most important question: does the head work on Classic Cliffjumper The world must know! :9000Obviously, the color is different, but yes, it can be used on Classics Cliffjumper. I just placed the head on there. The ball joint from Classics Cliffjumper is just tad larger than the socket on WFC Cliffjumper. The fit is a little tight, I think loosening the screw on the back of the head would relieve some of the pressure. I think the WFC Cliffjumper head is a bit small for the Classics Cliffjumper body, but it still looks nice. The gun from WFC Cliffjumper can be used with Classics Cliffjumper as well.

I think WFC Cliffjumper has the best shade of red that Hasbro has ever used on a Transformer. I doubt that Tomy will do anything better for their Transformers United Cliffjumper.

I like this figure better than the Bumblebee one. I like this headsculpt alot. Very nice figure. The one I got is actually better quality IMHO than the BB as far as the Legs are not so loose and nothing seems to pop off even when I'm not pushing very hard .Still can't ever get all the seems to close when it's in alt mode on either one. Always some gaps in the seems.

I can now report that WFC Cliffjumper's head fits just fine on Classics CJ, and apart from the red being noticably darker than shade on the body, it looks very good. I may try to repaint the head to better match the figure, unless WFC CJ proves to be so rare I can't find a second one. I'd upload some pics, but I'm over my global upload quota. Anyone know how I can fix that

[Sorry, but that's how it's been for the entire 26 years of Transformers: G1, Universe, Movie 1, WFC, though I think TFP Might change all that. The original CJ was a unique mold, a Porsche, although it shared the same transformation scheme as the VW mold. That's why we'd kinda like to see Cliff as his own figure yet again. Their personalities are vastly different, yet we're always expected to accept the same character design to express them both. The Classic toy managed to be different enough to work despite only being a repaint, and the WFC figure's new head is a much appreciated step in the right direction, but I'd still like a unique modern Cliffjumper toy.Besides, until I got the KMart Legend BB, the only one I had was the red Bumblebee (along with a red CJ - different toys apart from colors, of course), so to me, a red Bumblebee is just a red Bumblebee, not Cliffjumper.

i would like to see a cliffjumper released before bumblebee then have a repaint of cliffjumper be the bumblebee. he deseves more respect then always being a bb repaint!Sorry, but that's how it's been for the entire 26 years of Transformers: G1, Universe, Movie 1, WFC, though I think TFP Might change all that.
