Peter David Tapped for Transformers Dark of the Moon Novelization Duties

Peter David has announced that Del Rey has hired him to produce the novel version of Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Posting on the blog on his official website, Mr. David says that he is currently working on the book but cannot disclose any plot information due to a non-disclosure agreement. Mr. David's credits include book adaptations of the three live-action Spider-Man films, and The Incredible Hulk.

I'm not real familiar with Peter David so I'll reserve judgement until I read it. That said, I think Alan Dean Foster was doing a great job and will be sorry to see him go. For that matter, Alex Irvine did a decent job on TF: Exodus. I wonder why they didn't employ his talents for the adaptation. Maybe they were concerned about blurring movie-verse with WFC continuity....

Oh, so the novelization will be better written than the actual movie then. I've wanted to see Peter David brought into TFs for years. It's a shame it had to be for the Bayverse.
