Review - Transformers CLUB Magazine #13

The Classics line now makes an appearance as an exclusive comic in the Transformers Club Magazine.

The magazine, also includes promo shots of the Exclusive figures: Airazor and AstroTrain.

  • An interview with Peter Cullen.
  • An Interview with the Titanium Team.
  • 2 profiles on Classics characters
  • 3 mini profiles on 3 new custom CGI characters.

    The CLASSICS line starts up as SkyFall and LandQuake (the other exclusives offered in the past) somehow end up on a planet. Megatron's CLASSIC alt is standing before him and basically tells Skyfall "Good Bye Autobot!" As Megs prepares to blast SkyFall a trio of robotic walkers (ala Star Wars, anyone?) and little men dressed in armor appear and start attacking Megatron.

    Obviously they're no match for Meg's Plasma cannon and are blown away instantly.

    SkyFall tries to convince LandQuake to help him defend the "fleshlings" as Megs call the little men.

    But in the end SkyFall gets blasted and ends up looking like scrap.

    Then Optimus, Jetfire, Grimlock, and Mirage appear to fight Megatron in their CLASSIC forms... End of the Comic.

    As for the Titanium Team, the people who are in charge of the line, they basically said "...[e]xpect more from us, if the next series of figures sells well. We'll definitely be expanding the continium to those more rare, and highly desired characters."

    They however, did not say no to the question of: will there be versus packs? Bigger figures? etc., etc.

    ~~~~~~
    The 3 mini profiles are all for characters out of the post-Cybertron pre-Beast Wars era.
    9K
    Function: Security Captain
    "Order does not compromise"
    One of the first models to bridge the Cybertron and Maximal design.
    Alt mode appears to be Clocker's Cybertron mold.
    Overshoot
    Function: Marksman
    "Always look forward"
    Same Alt mode as Clocker's but slightly modified. (Has a Tarantula's looking head, and visor, but no fangs of a spider).
    Switchblade
    Function: Security Officer
    "Anything worth doing is dangerous, and anything dangerous is worth doing."
    Alt mode: BreakDown's mold, with claws on the wrist ala Wolverine.
    Together they form a part of the Max Cops
    "...Their Duty is to protect the fragile piece between Maximals and Predacons."
