BotCon 2008 - New Transformers Universe Revealed

Classics 2.0 is shaping up nicely.

Sideswipe and Silverstreak both look a lot better than the initial molds.

Will probably buy all four.

Ironhide is a a hell of a surprise, didn't even know they were making one.

Aesthetics look very similar to the movie line figures. The bot mode is beautiful but the alt mode looks fractured worse than any alt mode I've ever seen. Hopefully it all fits together. 2009 Bumblebee doesn't even look that bad.

Silverbolt looks pretty horrendous. A real step backwards. I don't care if those are the original bot mode colors they totally

Not a big fan of the neon glow orange landing wheels either. This may be a huge pass. Will have to see more pics before I decide.

Cyclonus was shown at the Hasbro panel on the projector, where no photographs were allowed... I'm sure someone will post pictures eventually. But I will say it is filled with the most awesome of awesomeness. Basically, imagine the movie animation model, robot & vehicle, as poseable as modern TF's. But a darker purple. Then give him Nightstick.

But I will say it is filled with the most awesome of awesomeness. Basically, imagine the movie animation model, robot & vehicle, as poseable as modern TF's. But a darker purple. Then give him Nightstick.

I want to see cyclonus too. the universe line seems to have a distinct lack of decepticons. what's that all about?

Maybe it's the fact that there were twice as many Autobots back in the day to serve as homage fodder now.
