Yeah this figure is calling out to me... Magnus looks so powerful and monstrous.

I keep looking at Magnus and thinking damn that'll look awesome next to Cybertron Prime. For some reason I just don't see a lot of difference in the overall aesthetic. The animate line being plastic, stylized looks like it'll fit in just fine with the majority of A/E/C/C figures I own.

Most notably the face/head sculpts/expressions are outstanding and really do justice to the characters. This is something a lot of A/E/C/C characters lacked, character. Most of those toys were directly modeled from 3d CG models and for the most part looked pretty lifeless which is great if you love collecting expressionless Gundums and the like. I love these because they're more action figure than Transformer this time around and before Transformers I was a huge action figure buff.

Wanted to pass on all the Leader Class figs but I may end up having to get Megatron, and Ultra Magnus. Maybe Bulkhead for the sake of scale.

I'm wondering where his wheels go. Do you think the bottom just detaches?

This picture shows that Magnus folds four wheels into the back of each leg in robot mode. Based on what we've seen so far, I'd guess it's fairly accurate to the toy.

I really do love how, so far the TFA figures seem very complex but not difficult. They seem to have a very stylish transformation aesthetic. I bet if these TF-schemes were on non stylized robots (ie- Classics or something) (ALL) People would be chomping at the bit.

I'm not trying to instigate any divide between the folks that love the designs and the ones that dont - only to say that since Cybertron - the designers have really really gotten clever with the way these guys convert to vehicle and back. I think the movie pushed that almost too far (making toys that were clitcherific) but with Classics 2 and TFA we really seem to be reaping the benefits of the last 6 years of the design learning curve.

Figures like LockDown, prowl, and Magnus - dont even look like they have kibble at all.. and yet are fully realized in both modes.

Not sure if I will be getting any more LDR figs - but If I do - Magnus will be the first.

:pfx , though I'm more of a Classics/Universe fan. The design teams have really kicked it into an other gear.

This is turning out to be a nice looking toy, maybe another one for the Animated want list.

Not too crazy about the Animated toys and at one time I was seriously doubting I was going to get any. But this leader class Ultra Magnus looks pretty darn good. This is actually one I might just get.

(Oh, and I have absolutely nothing againt magni that are white Prime repaints. They're all better looking then Prime anyway.
