I really like this guy, but most of the ones I've seen are hit hard with QC problems and shoddy paintwork. I managed to find an ok one. Not great, but decent, as I've had to do a bunch of touch ups. Fun toy, great posability, its just the poor painting that kills it.

Wish they would have designed it to have firing missiles like the G1 toy. Prowl was the first G1 toy I ever bought.

I have prowl and sunstreaker and they are both :bot :win I love the almighty G1 they both represent with some modern upgrades.

i like this figure, i picked mine up last week along with tankor and sunstreaker. my big gripes are the paint job could have been better, more detailed, and that the top of his arms (biceps?) seem a little too long. The only other thing was the transformation isnt quite smooth... the doors pop right off (mine did anyway), and I found it was easiest to just snap them back on after i was done transforming him.

correction: its a Nissan 350z not 300z..

Prowl seems perfect for the people who want Classics to be: G1, but with more articulation.

Personally, I like the new things they've done with Classics Prime, Sunstreaker, Octane, and Prowl just winds up a bit... dull.

Personally I would like to see a mix. In some cases a complete overhaul like Classics Optimus Prime and Universe Onslaught is the way to go, but staying G1 accurate works for a character like Prowl, IMO.

um.... the feet are absolutely NOT stationary. There's a pin hinge joint with foreward/rear rotation and a secondary pin hinge joint with side to side.

Oh, and incase anyone misses it, the feet pull down about a half/quater of an inch out of the leg....

Thanks for pointing that out. I have the bodies for the review on template and must have missed editing that. I have since fixed it.

Awsome! You put back the head shots! lol :) Nice review Cad, i really look foward to getting these "Classics series" (news to me) Universe TFs to continue my classics collection. Keep up the good reviews bud.

Teh only thing i would say needs work with this figure is hes a little plain ala reprolabels, and his shoulder cannons NEED to painted silver. I might just get Streak though cuz he was my 1st TF when i was a youngin and hes more in color but strikes the same AWESOMENESS!

Thank you for the suggestion. As always, I'm open to them. As I mentioned before, I didn't realize the head shots were a benefit. Now that I know, I will make sure they are part of the reviews.

:tfemo I love this variation of prowl. But I have to admit the job they did with Sunstreaker is remarkable! It is by far one of the most solid figures since Classics Mirage. I'm kinda upset that they got rid of the rub labels. Oh well?

I absolutley LOVE this figure :awsum

I'm actually considering removing his launchers altogether; I always liked how Prowl in the toon didn't have them--it was a nice extra contrast from Bluestreak and Smokescreen, and fitting in that (even tho the G1 toon never explored this) Prowl is supposed to be more of the headquarters-bound "brains" of the operation.

Well you don't have to remove the launchers completely. They fold down nicely out of view for the toon accurate look.
