Transformers 7 - Production Look to Cast New Female Lead Like Tessa Thompson?

Entertainment news site Full Circle have posted an update on Transformers 7 following the sources that gave up the "Transformers: Beast Alliance" title and timeline. They have learned the production is looking to cast a new female lead role similar to Tessa Thompson, who also played in Creed II under the direction of Steven Caple Jr.

Paramount and Hasbro are looking to reignite the Transformers franchise with a brand new installment. And now, according to insider Daniel Richtman, they are looking to cast a Tessa Thompson type actress to lead the film.

Now Richtman has revealed that the studio is looking for an actress like Thompson for one of the two leads. Interestingly, the film isn’t looking to cast Thompson herself instead opting for someone different. Some potential actresses that could fill this role could be Ruth Negga, Jurnee Smollett, or Zoë Kravitz. Details on the role are currently unknown, but fans should expect further updates as production on the film continues.
