With the
cat out of the bag,
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Director Michael Bay has confirmed that Megatron will be in the film.
"Megatron is back ---- but you will only get to see him from the long lost past," he writes on his official website

Mr. Bay explains, "We go way back in time as this movie explains the mythology of the Primes."
He also says that Megatron will be an alien vehicle and "not a tank like everyone suggests." Well, he's half right. The character's Leader class figure displays right on the
back of the figure's box that the figure's alternate mode is an "Alien Tank."
While some fans may be happy that Megatron does make an appearance in the film, "sadly he does not [have] much screen time," Mr. Bay writes.
