During yesterday's Hasbro Story Building Panel, we were unfortunately not allowed to liveblog, but we were able to post after the fact. The panel covered Exiles, the follow-up to Exodus, NetDragon's China-only MMO, and more.
Note: The images within this post are not from the event. They are from previous news articles
Art of the 13
The two revealed two new members, Solus Prime and Nexus Prime.
Solus Prime is female and looks like a Greek warrior goddess. She is the creator of many of the weapons of the Original 13.
Nexus Prime will embody a brand-new look than what we have previously seen, taking on the form of a combiner.
Each of the 13 will represent each Transformers archetype, meaning one of the original 13 will also be a Mini-Con, a Dark Hero, Hero, etc.
Despite what was originally thought when they announced these last year, the 13 are not being conceived as toys.
The book is set right after the story from Exodus and concerns the search for the Allspark.
One top of this, the exploration of the lost colonies will be explored, and new original 13 characters will be introduced.
A new, major threat to the Transformers Universe will be introduced in Exiles.
The concept design also shows off a new look for the Decepticon symbol, which looks like a skull and crossbones.
It has been brought up multiple times, most recently our interview with Transformers Prime Executive Producer Jeff Kline
, that War for Cybertron and Prime are within the Exodus continuity.
While not detail every detail will fight perfectly, Archer says that they are more interested in telling a good story.
NETDRAGON TRANSFORMERS PRIME MMO
NetDragon is working more on developing designs closer to Transformers Prime
, but definitely sees some G1 influence.
Unfortunately, since NetDragon has been developing this game with the China market in mind, markets outside of the country will most likely not see much of the game.
Transformers Ride 3D at Universal Studios Hollywood
The ride will be a full 3D experience and is directed by Michael Bay himself.
The team that worked on the King Kong 3D Universal ride is also working on this ride.
A trailer of the ride was shown, scheduled to open in 2012.
During the Q&A, it was stated that the line is not dead, but no further information can be revealed right now.
