G2 set is sold

I will be eagerly awaiting more info about that G2 Prime set.

Agreed.

I'm a little confused. It thought Has/Tak was cracking down on 3rd party developers. Or was that just Takara? Either way it seems odd to have them featured so prominently at BotCon.

I was under that impression as well. I also figure they have no shame with the black/clear repaints.

I feel really bad for the completist collectors, they will be eating nothing but ramen for the next decade.

Only Takara has made a big deal out of it and in a round about way by going after retailers. Hasbro doesn't seem to care, especially if it means they can sell more of their own figures as a result (add-on parts). I think Hasbro's point of view is that they're going to sell out their own figures anyway and since they don't do a lot of reissues there isn't much to be lost. I think the only thing that really gets to them is using their names and original artwork.

What the heck is a "Heart Master"???

AnimatedPlastic - 2011-06-05 @ 5:26 pm

Not Devastator will be the one I get...for sure. I hope that it doesn't take another 2 years for that thing to be done and available. The G2 Prime add-on kits are interesting as well. I am curious on the Powerglide and Seaspray figures that are shown next to G2 Prime....

I have to say, the MakeToys Minibots appeal to me(I'm on a bit of a Basic kick at present!), as do the WW2-inspired ones...but what's up with the tiny, TINY feet on the latter category? The jets suffer from this more then the tanks do, but still!

Im kinda glad FP is making the g2 prime set. They really have mastered the art of armor add-ons :D

Also... any idea why war within grimlock is a powermaster?
