BotCon 2012 Heroic Treadshot Revealed, Gets New Head; Hints of Other Set Exclusives and New Heads Only Appears Once

Fun Publications has officially unveiled Shattered Glass Heroic Treadshot, their fourth of six figures of their BotCon 2012 convention exclusive set. The figure utilizes the Transformers Reveal the Shield Special Ops Jazz mold and sports a brand-new head.

The color scheme of the figure is very similar to the Transformers Armada Side Swipe figure.

In other set news, Fun Publications has revealed that Metalhawk from the Classicsverse will also sport a new head mold.

Speaking of new head molds, FunPub wrote on their BotCon Twitter feed to announce that "Each BotCon head sculpt only appears ONCE per figure per total figure offering."

While the statement is a little unclear, Pete Sinclair attempted to clarify at various forums including The AllSpark's, saying that each new head mold offered exclusively at BotCon will appear once, it is unknown if this extends to the attendee figures.

It was also teased on the BotCon Twitter feed that the Evil Autobot Ultra Magnus has "a surprise in store," although they are mum on any other details.

For all of the information about the set, check out our BotCon 2012 convention page.

You know, I never did notice the lack of carpet at 04. It took to reading about it on usenet to find out.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I had far more fun at OTFCC 04 than at Botcon 2010, and for far less money. I saw nothing wrong with the Stephens Convention Center - it was just a place to house the convention after all. The only complaint I had was Sentinel Maximus not being ready, and I got mine a month or two later - no harm done. I didn't experience any of that negativity first hand - I had a great time! It was the sole FunPub-run Botcon that I've been to that disappointed.

I just miss the days when Botcon was held in relatively small venues (Disney? why? I don't go to Botcon for the locale!), and focused more on the event than on selling exclusive repaints. We should be hearing about potential guests now, not the toys.

I agree about the guest part, but But there was plenty of things wrong with the Stephens Convention Center, It was dirty, small, smelled awful. concrete flooring with the only carpet being around the display cases, bare lights. That is not the place that is proper for any kind of convention except maybe a Harley Convention. I do agree that Disney was over the top and should have been skipped Small venues like the Hyatt Regency's and proper Convention Center area's. Basically not in the damn basement

Man The Dolphin hotel was so nice. It was more then just fun at a convention for me, it was a vacation. I didn't go to Disney but Im sure plenty of parents bundled it in. It's not that bad. So long as the convention is big enough so that a lot of people can get in I don't really care where it's held.

Well I've also met the Hartman brothers, you know the guys that actually created Botcon? And Glen stole the license from them. There was also a lot of negativity. Even the guy dressed as Hot Rod walking around outside was bummed.

And the most pathetic part was the fight that broke out down the street at McDonalds between members of rival boards over the stupid AllSpark. That is when I decided I would stay away from the conventions, unless the Hartmans keep Botcon going

And the low turnout and use of the Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont instead of the Hyatt Regency in Rosemont the year before. secured the death of OTFCC

Oh now, all OTFCC was, was BotCon wigh a different name.

Lord_Onslaught - 2012-01-07 @ 5:52 am

Yeah, I havent forgotten all the drama and nonsense. I still supported the Hartmans as well as 3H. I decided not to draw a line and let others ruin my fun. Honestly the only bummed faces were few and at the dinner that I saw.

In the end, I think the fandom made a bigger deal of it than they did. The Hartmans were still at BotCon and Glenn did offer to get them an exclusive for 04. Hell, their all frirnds on facebook.

Either way, I had tons of fun with my hive mind friends and never let somebody elses business bother me.

I don't think I've ever had a bad time at a TF con.

OTFCC 04 was the only time I ever did have a bad time at a TF Con. And unlike OTFCC, Botcon has a lot more things going on. So its more fun

Like I said, I had a great time and so did my group of friends. Never figured out all the negativity.

Wait a min, Megazarak was there, SP was the one not ready in time, and I still got him regardless.
