BotCon 2013 - TFCC Magazine and Timelines Panel Report and Images

Year 9

Magazine going on 5 years with cover and more focus on characters. They try to beat official news, but its hard to beat the internet. So they are always working to make it special by focusing on interview, previews, history, and comics as part of the publication.

The MTME characters profiles use well know artists like Alex Milne and Marcelo Matere to offer kickbutt art with the profiles.

Beast Wars Tales Shattered Glass Earth

The comic featuring Ultra Mammoth was written with Matt Frank and Dan Khana, Mark is moving off the project, Dan will finish up the series.

After Beast Wars they will be follow up with a new 2014 series that will take place in a different setting than before. That will end the 2 year cycle with 36 page story that ties into next years comic theme.

Return of Prose Fiction

Hayato Sakamoto and Andrew Hall will be working on a Gobots Spacialtemperal Challengers comic to come out later this year.

Fall of 2013 the TFCC will update the Web site with a Prose section that is to including
images and story concept stages with more info to come.

Machine Wars Temincation #8 will continue with work being done by Jesse and Josh,

9 million years ago

Next years BotCon story will wrap everything up. Next year's convention set will tie into the wrap Wings of Honor.

After the Termination series there will be a 30th Anniversary Special

Questions & Answers

+ The Termination poster for this year of was done artist Yoshiyoka.

+ 4th Seeker in BotCon Comic name coming

+ Other Machine Wars ideas came up but they like to do previews for them but cannot always do that.
There was no story for the line, so they worked on it as nostalgia thing as step between G2 and BW.

+ New MW toys may be coming if they can come up with good ideas: Soundwave, Prime, Hubcap are possibles in fiction.

+ New BotCon feedback forms for will ask fans what they are doing for next few years. What characters and molds would we like?

+ Fans can start by submitting their portfolios to Pete and other outlets asking to help with projects.

+ About using existing IDW and other Transformers mainline fiction instead of creating new ones. They have done it with Animated and Beast Wars to cover existing properties.

+ The Botcon Animated comic was sciprted just like a cartoon episode.

+ Nexus Prime will probably not come back to story.

+ GoBots Comic Comic with Pathfinder, Treads, Small Foot, Man of War, Buggy Man, Rushque [not sure of the names]

+ Budget allows for only 4 new heads molds. They want to do elaborate toys, but no budget for new tools.

+ They can do remolds, but it takes away from something else.

+ BotCon has made 130 toys since 2005, longest running line of figures since G1
