With about a month to go before it debuts in the US, we have some important details released about Transformers: Bumblebee. The MPAA has given the movie a PG-13 rating, following suit with the prior installments of the franchise. What differs notably is the specified elements contributing to that rating: "sequences of sci-fi action violence." No qualifiers exist on this film for suggestive situations or language, nor strong language at all. This would seem to hopefully cement a distinctly different tone for this movie as opposed to the five that came before it.
Further, we've got the run length for the movie, and this is more happy news! Bumblebee is clocking in at 1 hour and 54 minutes, making it the first in its series to stay under the two-hour mark. Moviegoers who found themselves severely fatigued by the near-endlessness of Age of Extinction should especially be relieved by this news.
