Chevrolet Beat Production Name Is Spark

It looks like the Skids character from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will be receiving a new alternate mode. Well, sort of.

A press release from General Motors before the North American International Auto Show announced that the Chevrolet Beat has been renamed as the Chevrolet Spark, while retaining much of the 2007 Chevrolet Beat style.

The vehicle was attached to the character when a spy shot of the vehicle caught the license plate of the vehicle bearing the word, "Skids."

The vehicle will be available for mass U.S. consumption starting in 2011.
