no... just no thats just not a good story and out of all the autobots Prime himself should change hell he is a custom truck a 1 off not even close to production colours and going from a new and very iconic muscle car just going into production (when the film hits) to a hatch... GM would never have it and its a Bay film could you really see a chase with that.... thing against barricade? it might scream BB but this isn't G1.
apart from being neon green.also with the camaro coming out in the same year as the movie I don't think they will make a story point of how the fuel consumption is poor. if anything I can see the Beat being some sort of little brother character for BB to take care of. or maybe the beat will be the rattrap of the group small but still packs a punch. also given how this is the point I guess they introduce JetFire it would not suprise me if they introduced others (notice that back 911 that was rumored to be in the transformer cast)
Er... So maybe they'll say that the Mustang is just too pimpin' and the Decepticons know what he looks like so he'll have to find something more subtle? As in, Optimus says, "You've blown your cover. Get a new altmode and..."
Of course, the Beat comes rolling out with a tricked out stereo system and Bumblebee says, "They want subtle? I'll give them subtle..."
Rodimus Maximus:The car SCREAMS Bumblebee.
AGREED!
It could be because of the animated BB, Hasbro "MAY" want him more "bumblebee-ish"... but i doubt it.
I doubt it too, because in the "movie-verse" Bumblebee is a musclecar-based warrior - most of the audience would be saying "WTF? Why would he change into an economy car? That ain't cool..."
:pfx completely.

http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/09/chevy-b...transformers-2/so it seems BumbleBee will still be the 09 Camaro... also we see whats known as the Beat a new compact from GM
you can also just see the camaro in the pics here also notice the huge autobot logo on that white jet the blog says its bays own jet... lucky guy http://transformerslive.blogspot.com/2008/...sonian-set.html
personal opinion: JOY
If he changes alt modes, there WOULD be at least one scene of the two cars together when he scans it.
And who says anything about "upgrade"?
Maybe he's just in need of better fuel efficiency and/or he has Decepticons hunting him down, forcing him to change models.
The car SCREAMS Bumblebee.
Forget the car! I'm more interested in the SR-71!
That beat just screams Wheelie.
Other than that it's pretty cool.
If that is Bumblebees new alt mode I'd consider it more downgrade than upgrade.
so it seems BumbleBee will still be the 09 Camaro... also we see whats known as the Beat a new compact from GMHeh, that Beat looks a lot like Animated Bumblebee's alt mode...
LOL! I was just thinking the same thing! Paint it yellow, add a black racing stripe and I think I'd like this as BB better than the Camaro XD
