Movies / NewsThe Hollywood Reporter has an article out today talking about the immediate future of the Transformers movie series. As was revealed just before Toy Fair, we're locked in for a schedule of three consecutive years of Transformers movies, the mid point of which is a Bumblebee focused film. Paramount's Brad Grey is quoted as saying that Bumblebee is among the Transformers universe characters deserving of their own movies. It's also called out that the Bee Movie will be kept to a lower cost than typical for the series. Click through for a quick excerpt and link to the original article.
“We’ve brought in a pretty strong writing staff run by Akiva Goldsman, and they have put together eight or nine interesting stories,” said Grey. “So, between that group and Steven Spielberg’s guidance on a story level, these characters are a big business for us to pursue.”
