If you were an 80s Transformers Kid, you may remember the many mail-away campaigns that Hasbro offered through various brand partnerships. One of the more interesting ones was the Ralston Cookie Crisp Autobot Jazz. With cereal and toys being a regular mainstay for kids, it was popular to have them mail-away for a FREE a giveaway, or just collect two Proof of Purchase Seals with $3 USD, to get their very own Transformers Autobot Jazz!
Worth noting the Cookie Crisp Jazz was different from the mainline version as the "Martini Porsche" branding was removed from the door stickers. Most likely to save on licensing, which may be why the toy didn't come with a retail box either. Like other Transformers G1 mail-aways, Jazz was shipped in a plain brown mailing box. Fortunately, we have this unboxing video with images of their custom box (below) from the vintage toy collectibles channel, RETRO NOW!, to give us the full tour on Wild Wednesday.
