When it comes to fast-food premiums, they tend to be horrible. Most of the bad ones can be found in the McDonald's Happy Meal Transformers toys only because they have made something for just about every series. One exception was the Armada series from 2002 that are not only bulky by today's standard, included Mini-Con ports, and had fun action gimmicks. They could combine into not one, but two teams each for the four Autobots as "1 Mighty Robot" and four Decepticons as "1 Mighty Vehicle".
Today's Prime shot takes a look at the not-at-all-bendy Optimus Prime from the Armada Happy Meal set. What he lacks in articulation and transformation is nearly made up for by the marvelous clear plastic (crystal) casting, excellent truck mode mostly due to the tires, and a neat arm-swinging gimmick activated by the button on his back. Definitely one of my favorite fast-food Primes for the goodness as much as the badness such as the molded grill on the bottom and comical sculpting of the head and hands.
I got LOTS of them if anyone is interested.
OMFG. I never knew about that half-assed combining gimmick. I wonder if I have all of those..
