Daily Prime - Transformers Protoform Optimus Prime Concept Designs

The Transformers (2007) Protoform Optimus Prime is one of my favorite Optimus Prime movie designs for so many reasons. The unique character representation turned out great as an action
figure with an agile robot mode and very cool Planetary Meteor alternate form.

Thanks to artist Ben Proctor who has shared his Protoform concept designs on this oddity, we can see how truly fantastic this idea really was. Shown are incredibly detailed models, covered in "Cybertronian tribal tattoos", of the alternate mode, robot mode, as well as how it would travel to Earth. Most impressive is how faithfully it was depicted in the 2007 movie based on these concepts.
