Details of Transformers Animated Arcade Games Revealed

When Takara Tomy announced that Transformers Animated would be making its way to Japan back in January, Sega also announced that they would be developing video games based off of the series, and today, we learned that they are indeed arcade games.

The official Takara Transformers website reveals that there will be a couple of arcade games: a racer and a shooter. As previously reported, the video game will tie into collectible cards, which will be available to assist players within the game.

The cards seem to be available this month, according to the page, and is slated for release in the summer.

Those game cabinets are kid-sized. An adult would have to kneel down on the floor to be able to play!

Interesting...these card reader style games have really taken over in Japan in recent years. I guess it's the one way for arcades to stay in business these days.
