Transformers: Devastation New Info: XBox One & 360, PS3 & PS4; Developer Confirmed As PlatinumGames!

A set of premature listings on Best Buy Canada has given us a lot more info about Transformers Devastation, including the voice actors, playable characters, more systems the game will be available for, and the noteworthy developer! More info after the jump!

Listings have been found on Best Buy Canada's site for Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Playstation 4 versions of the game. The information on the Best Buy pages is as follows:

-Autobots face off against the Decepticons when Megatron discovers a way to harness the enormous power of plasma energy to cyberform Earth

-PlatinumGames signature fast action allows instant robot to vehicle attacks, slam downs, counterattacks, and infinite combos for a unique master combat system

-Features 5 playable Autobots including Optimus Prime, Bubblebee, Sideswipe, Wheeljack, and Grimlock

-A deep customization system and 5 difficulty levels with overhauls in enemy composition deliver hours of intense gameplay

-Actors from the original TV series reprising their roles include Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime), Dan Gilvezan (Bubblebee), Frank Welker (Megatron and Soundwave), and more

This is the first time Dan Gilvezan has returned to play Bumblebee since the end of the G1 cartoon! Also worth noting is that developer PlatinumGames is most known for stylish, high-quality action games such as Bayonetta, Wonderful 101, and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. In fairness, they've also done a few middling tie-in games such as The Legend of Korra. Activision itself vacillates between making high-quality Transformers games like War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron, and less high-quality titles designed to capitalize on the films, such as Rise of the Dark Spark- which was infamously not provided to any reviewer before release.

It's not a movie year, though, so let's hope the continual referring to Bumblebee as "Bubblebee" is not an ill omen!
