Transformers Earthrise Cliffjumper Video Review And Images

Via PrimeVsPrime on Youtube, we have a first in hand look at Transformers Earthrise Cliffjumper! For the first time we get to see how the toy's transformation works, plus we're shown the attachment points for the add-on pieces to equip Cliffjumper for travel by sea.

This Deluxe figure comes in closer to the height of a Legends class toy, but the video demonstrates a decent amount greater complexity than that. Along with the greater than average number of accessories, that may help balance the size-versus-price argument for some people. Though it's not demonstrated as such in the video, it seems pretty clear that the roof chunk that has to be removed during transformation could be used as a shield in robot mode, giving a Cliffjumper that's just that much more geared up for battle.

The presented size comparisons aren't the best-chosen, perhaps. Vehicle mode is shown only with MP-45 Bumblebee (ver.2) which is certainly not the most commonly held point of reference right now. Robot mode is demonstrated a bit better using Siege Voyager Optimus Prime for relative scale. While the literal in-hand views showed it anyway, it is enough to demonstrate that Cliffjumper is pretty small for its price point.
