Transformers Fall of Cybertron Character Designs Will Be Much More Detailed, Get a Peek at the New Optimus Prime Look

We all know from the title of Transformers Fall of Cybertron that things are not going well for the planet, but how does that change the Autobots and Decepticons in the game? Well, in Optimus Prime's case he is a lot more raw and massive than his character depicted in Transformers War for Cybertron.

Think of the character's design as a "fist with wheels attached to it." In a preview for the game, Lead Artist Ivan Power and Principal Artist Mike Brown at High Moon Studios provide Game Informer a preview of Prime's in-game design.

Mr. Power explains that the character is battle scarred and a lot more weathered in this game than War for Cybertron.

Also expect all of the other robots to receive an updated design and better transformation schemes thanks to higher resolution designs and new technology developed for the game.

Transformers Fall for Cybertron is out sometime next year.

We will be stopping by the Activision booth at New York Comic Con to see what Game Director Matt Tieger is bringing about the new game.

Optimus Prime is looking a lot more bulky this time around

I finally got my new issue of Game Informer. It is the Optimus/Grimlock cover, and seeing Optimus' new look from that angle I have to say I like it. I wasn't sure until now, but the boxier style suits him.

All the interests me are the toys....And we've gotten no news on any toys to coincide with this game's release :(

I'm sure the game will be great but I'm just not digging Prime's robot mode as much as I do in WFC.

Honestly I'm just not that amazed with these games. Great games and stuff, but I just don't get as excited as some of you for them. Indonesia think this new one will be good, or hope so though.

I'm not rushing to judgement here. High Moon has made excellent decisions so far. I'll wait for the game to come out to decide what I think....

Sorry High Moon. Utter fail on Optimus. He was so sweet in WFC! You could have tweeked him. Instead now he is dull and definitely not as cool.

I like FOC Prime's alt mode but I'm not liking his bot mode as much as the WFC version. It's his chest. It doesn't fit well to me. It's akward and looks like it doesn't belong. It extends too far out and the gap between what would be his windshields in earth mode is too far. Him being bigger is nice but doesn't make him better. I like his WFC version more. WFC Prime just looks better overall.

I'd love a Voyager Jetfire vs. Voyager Starscream 2 pack. Dare to dream....

I wanna see the Seekers too...AS TOYS!

Tip for you, Hasbro. Do more than 4 molds this time..... Make a whole WAVE devoted to them! OP and megs would be great voyagers, sure...but why not make them LEADER CLASS instead? With soundwave and Starscream as Voyagers.

Hmm Autobot voyagers....uhh....Ironhide?

Warpath was in WFC dude. So was Scattorshot (as a tank). And if your going Ironhide then Ratchet is an obvious repaint.
