Transformers Fall of Cybertron Figures to Include Shockwave, Jazz, and Optimus Prime

Thanks to Kapow Toys, we have learned that Hasbro will be releasing Shockwave, Jazz, and Optimus Prime as a tie into the Transformers Fall of Cybertron video game.

This is similar to when Hasbro released select deluxe class figures based on the Transformers War for Cybertron designs under the Generations toyline a couple of years back.

While Kapow does not list a specific series for these toys, another UK retailer Toyz and Gamez lists the figures under the Generations line.

The figures are set for a May 2012 release, according to Kapow, ahead of the Fall of 2012 release date for the video game.

We do not have images of the figures just yet, but we are expecting some first looks at the figures at Toy Fair 2012, where we will be reporting live on February 11th!

Which figures do you want to see from the game? Let us know in the comments!

The one thing that has peaked and caused me to think about is Bruticus. We are getting a Gestalt made up of 5 Deluxes, all 8 have been named, yet Grimlock was brought up before in the reports unless I missed something. So maybe just maybe there are only 8 Deluxe WFC, And Hasbro is going to make some Voyagers like they did for Universe 2.0 and Transformers 2010

I'm kinda wondering what alt mode,Foc deluxe shockwave's toy will have. If it has the space laser gun alt mode then I might buy it. if not then it's a no buy.

He's based on Fall of Cybertron Shockwave, so he won't be a giant laser space gun. He'll be a jet that is reminiscent of his laser space gun form. High Moon made it look pretty good in WFC. It still looked laser gun-y enough and yet the gameplay wasnt compromised. It would be zero fun in the game if you could turn into a gun and just hover from the floor and shoot when everyone else can do that normally in any mode .

I'm also optimistic that hasbro will release a few new mold FOC voyagers & a few ultra sized new molds for the FOC toys in 2012.

I figured since some WFC video game characters are clearly getting upgraded forms like optimus & Megatron getting beefed up forms, the dinobots getting earth based dinosaur alt modes,etc...

I was aware that WFC Shockwave transformed into that cybertronain styled space ship/jet thing.

I was hoping that shockwave would get his upgraded form via a huge space laser gun in the FOC video game. after all shockwave uses his space bridge to give the dinobots their earth based dinosaur forms.

It kinda makes sense for Shockwave to get his huge space laser gun form eventually in these video games. because shockwave had that huge space laser gun form for millions of years in the generation one cartoon & comics.

Yeah Bruticus even trumps Grimlock IMO. Mainly because he's my favorite combiner, I already have MP Grimlock, and really who honestly thought Hasbro would make Bruticus?!

I agree completely. I just want to make sure you are properly prepared so you don't show up underfunded and have to choose which Bruticus has to make do without an arm or leg :P

Just one less individual LOL

Doesn't matter I will be getting these, screw Optimus and the non starscream. I will take the Combaticons any day overall others

Jason X - 2012-02-03 @ 11:39 pm

So now I have to put $120 away specifically for the Combaticons

Probably more like $144. Generations figures still clock in at around $12 a pop.
