Transformers Fall of Cybertron Metroplex Unveiled, Looks Just Like You Would Expect; Escalation Returns

High Moon Studios has been teasing for almost a month now that they will be revealing the Autobot city Metroplex from Transformers Fall of Cybertron at this year's E3, but it looks like an upcoming issue of Game Informer has beaten them to the punch.

The images taken of the magazine by foxdie of Full Metal Hero does show Metroplex alone and another with his master in the game, Optimus Prime.

The images show essentially what you thought Metroplex would look like, but still an addition to a gigantic Transformer is always a good thing.

In the game out August 28, 2012, players controlling Optimus will have the ability to summon Metroplex for various attacks.

Escalation
It should also be noted that Escalation will return in multiplayer in Transformers Fall of Cybertron. A video will go live on Game Informer's website when the magazine is officially available online and on shelves in Game Stop stores.

In War for Cybertron, Escalation pits players against continuous waves of enemies in increasing difficulty until all players are defeated.

E3 coverage begins June 4, 2012 and the game will be out on Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony Playstation 3, and PC, as announced just yesterday.

I can't wait to play this game, but if we can play a Bruticus we should be able to go through a level as Metroplex too.

Nah. I like the different ways to play better as opposed to a reskinned Autobot version of the Bruticus level as Metroplex. A lot of the game is going to be shooting and so far we have Bruticus, Grimlock and being able to summon Metroplex as ways to break it up. Variety is the spice of life!

Also, his head looks teeny tiny.

Oh, I'd want more than a simple reskinning. Metoplex is so much bigger than Bruticus that I'd expect some old school Godzilla building stomping through Kaon, maybe ending in a one-on-one slugfest with Trypticon. We know he didn't die at the end of WFC.

As much as I want them to release this as a supreme class figure....I doubt they will...he looks awesome. Just like it is unlikely they will release a gi joe Flagg aircraft carrier again..

I'd be genuinely shocked if I didn't buy 2 of each. That's would be great, but even better if the made an Omega Supreme too.

done deal for me.

They should bring back the Universal Scale (Think G1 Fortress Maximus) off him up at $100 - $120, I know I would pay that for Metroplex and Trypticon

i want a supreme Metroplex. but if he has a base mode, the deluxe figures for FoC won't be very to scale...

Sparkless - 2012-06-02 @ 10:29 pm

I like the way you think, Jason
