First Look At Shout! Factory G1 Matrix Of Leadership Packaging, Features List

Shout! Factory has unveiled our first peek at the Complete Series Transformers 25h Anniversary Matrix of Leadership Collectors set. An advertisement posted on the official site for the box set set up to promote the set reveals that the box set will consist of 16 DVDs.

On top of the features that will be included with the already-announced complete first season box set, this ultimate edition will include:
  • Over 2 hours of restrospective featurettes including brand-new, in-depth interviews with those most responsible for the success of THE TRANSFORMERS franchise
  • Exclusive cast reunion
  • Printable scripts
  • Collectible 60-page book

  • On top of these items, Autobot and Decepticon insignia magnets will also be included.

    The set will be previewed be announced at BotCon 2009 on Friday night.

    Previously-announced features include concept art, archival Hasbro toy commercials, and rare PSAs. The producer of these sets Brian Ward previously provided insights into these features.

    I only have the first season of the Rhino version. I want this! Probably no way I can afford it, though...

    I think it's good of Shout! Factory to announce this before the release of the first season set. It's nice to get it all at once. Between this, the G.I. Joe set, and the MST3K sets, Shout! Factory is sure getting a lot of my money.

    I'll be honest...I'm torn. I've got all the Rhino box sets and even with their flaws here and there I'm fairly happy with them. True I love some of the extra the Matrix set is offering, but until I hear the price I can't justify re-buying the same cartoons. I have to wonder... read more

    Following their line of highly detailed Transformers movie toys. Jada Metals have revealed at Toy Fair 2018 they have obtained the licsense to to Transformers Generation 1 toys as well. Read on for details on a new Optimus Prime Truck and their new micro series.
    Via @FakeEyes22 on Twitter, we've now seen new Transformers G1 products from Super7! Most intriguing is the Keshi Surprise series, blindboxed minifigures based on the M.U.S.C.L.E. format known in Japan as "Keshi" or "Keshi Gomu." Also present are 12" Super Cyborgs which are G1 Optimus Prime and Megatron figures with transparencies to show their inner workings. All this, plus drinking glasses and enamel pins.     Just in form Toy Fair 2018, we have news of two new Transformers figures from Flame Toys. What appear to be non-transforming editions of Optimus Prime and Starscream. These look a lot like the designs we saw from their Kuro Kara Kuri Drift with extended articulation and weapons. Update: these are said to be offered as model kits that you assemble yourself. No word on their price and release date at this time. Read on to see the images of both figures.
