The video starts right as the Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, are making a dash for the Space Bridge towards Earth, and attacked by Megatron and the Decepticons.
Players are put in the boots of Bumblebee, while Ratchet as well as other Autobots, are tutors for the brand-new player, instructing how to move, shoot, and switch shooting hands to provide better cover.
SWITCHING SHOOTING HANDS
Rather than hiding behind a pillar, strafing out, shooting enemies, and ducking back in, or implementing a straight-up Gears of War-style cover and shoot system, High Moon Studios pulls off an interesting middle-ground between the extremes.
This change offers a better change in pace, rather than slowing a player down if the extremes are used, this allows players to move from cover to cover with a breeze, while switching hands, as the video shows.
COVERING FIRE
Instead of red-shirt Autobots getting in your way or just dying for the hell of it, it looks like Autobots will now provide some sort of covering fire.
On this mission, an Autobot instructs others to provide covering fire.
How well this works throughout the game remains unknown, but High Moon has been touting better enemy artificial intelligence since day one of the game's PR blitz began, so it only makes sense that it will transfer to a player's allies as well.
CHAOTIC ACTION RETURNS
Just like the Transformers War for Cybertron, High Moon Studios' first entry into the series, this game also appears to feature some insane action that we know and love, including expansive boards, beautiful detail, and great effects.
