Transformers G1 Writer David Wise Passes On at 65

Very sad to report the official Twitter account for David Wise, @DavidWiseSF, is reporting the Transformers G1 writer has passed away at 65. He was cared for by family in his final days after a battle with lung cancer.

His work is loved by kids and adults the world over for writing so many memorable Transformers G1 cartoon episodes such as "The Girl Who Loved Powerglide", "Trans-Europe Express", "War Dawn", "Kremzeek", "The Key to Vector Sigma", "The Secret of Omega Supreme", and "The Rebirth".

Wise also penned for many other well known shows including Star Trek: The Animated Series, Buck Rogers, Wonder Woman, He-Man and Mighty Orbots, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Here is David talking about working on the original Transformers G1 series:

I was wondering what the complete lists of shows that he'd written, so this is totally awesome. Sure would be cool to do a TRANSFORMERSTHON of all his toons!

It's not all of what he wrote, only what can potentially be included at the archive if production material turns up.  So we're talking 84-87 with the last couple in 1994 when Turtles was on the slide down.
