A quick period of social media hashtag voting has come and gone, and now that the responses have been counted up, John Warden has appeared in a short video on the Transformers Facebook page to announce the winning pair of figures, though the result is hardly surprising if you kept an eye on the voting activity at all while it was going on. Keep reading to find out the winner!
Some fans will be happy to find out that Impactor vs Mirage has won the vote and will go on to be a special edition two pack release sometime next year. Though it will be a while before we know exactly what shape this Impactor will take, both literally and figuratively, the prior wide-retail Impactor toy was not remotely an ideal representation of the character, so there may be hope for something a little better this time out.
While I personally agree with one comment on the Facebook post saying how getting a toy of one of the very first Transformers seen in the cartoon in a form based on that appearance would have been pretty special, I also doubt very much that either Wheeljack or Tracks are ruled out of the toy lineup for next year despite the polling results. It's more likely the vote was really between Impactor, Needlenose, and Spinister to get a toy made and the three Autobots were locked in one way or the other. But time will tell on that!
