Pack your bags, there is a Monster invasion coming in the Godzilla X Transformers Collaborative project from Takara TOMY SYNERGENEX series. The obvious choice of SS86 Grimlock as Megatron Type Godzilla is joined by a redeco of Laser Optimus Prime as Optimus Prime Type MFS-3 Kiryu. These are exclusives to Japan at this time that will be released in November 2024. Check out the offical translated info and images below for the full previews.
A collaboration between two of Japan's most popular global content has been realized! To commemorate the double anniversaries of Godzilla, which is celebrating its 70th anniversary, and Transformers, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary, two products have been released: Megatron Type Godzilla, which is a scan of Godzilla (※2), and Optimus Prime Type 3 Kiryu, which is a scan of Mechagodzilla. In the TV anime and movies, Transformers are set to scan vehicles on Earth and transform them.
Megatron Type Godzilla
The Transformers' Destruction Emperor, Megatron, scans Godzilla and transforms into a form that has Godzilla's powers! The whole body is decorated with markings that resemble Godzilla's skin, and the pattern of the dorsal fin when emitting heat rays is reproduced with clear parts and paint. Comes with clear effect parts that reproduce the heat rays.
Optimus Prime Type 3 Kiryu
Optimus Prime, the main character of the "Transformers" series, appears in a new form wearing the silver color of the Godzilla-fighting bio-robot "Type 3 Kiryu (Mechagodzilla)" from "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla". The included trailer is modeled after the Special Self-Defense Forces to which Kiryu belongs, and transforms into a base mode that can be played with like a base. It comes with weapons in the color of a maser (a fictional weapon that appears in special effects movies produced by Toho).

SYNERGENEX
This is a new series from Takara Tomy's high-target hobby label "T-SPARK." The series will feature products and content created through collaborations with the company's own IP, such as "Transformers," "ZOIDS," and "Diaclone," which are the pillars of "T-SPARK," as well as other companies' IP and brands.
The series name is a combination of SYNERGY, GENE and NEXT. We aim to maximize the synergy between our own IP and other companies' IP and brands. Not only will the combination be unexpected, but by combining the two brands, which may differ in appearance and shape, we will create new value, such as expanding the scope of play. We hope to bring excitement to fans, so that both IP and brands can prosper even further.
What's the Zoid (the one that looks like a cross between a Zaber Fang and Lightning Saix) and other robot pictured in the crossover?
I thought the Shield Liger was the only Zoid that had been announced as getting the Transformers crossover treatment.
ADDENDUM: So I just clicked on the photo after discovering it was hyperlinked and now I have more questions than answers.
The Zoid is the 1/100 Realize Model RMZ-006 Saber Tiger Schwalz Special, however I thought that the thing ab out the T-Spark line was that they were meant to be Transformers crossovers; this doesn't transform from what i can tell. I have the same question regarding Bravern not being given an alt mode of some kind.
Long over due concept, its ashame they just didnt re-release a titan trypticon colored in like Godzilla.
