Jack Q - Tuesday, July 24, 2012
Thanks to the good geeks at Impossible Toys for make the impossible possible with the reveal of their Cybertronian Seeker project. How many of you, besides me, have been waiting and hoping for some orginal G1 Cybertron toy love? The good news is, the wait is nearly over with some spitting images of the awesomer funky tri-angle shaped jets we all have come to know from the original G1 television series. The image shown of the unpainted prototype in robot and alternate modes looks really good. No details on release date or price. Check out the images after the jump for more details.

LOVE the idea but I'm waiting to see what the quality will be since I'm hearing nothing but horror out there in Fanland.
A for effort. I actually like the idea of the Cybertronian mode Seekers. It looks nice....but if it's expensive and falls apart I'm sure no one will buy it....I would actually rather see the Cybertronian Bumblebee figure....that would be cool...and then they could make a repaint into Cosmos.... read more
1. Impossible toys has crappy quality 2. The Cybertronian Seekers will have 3 different Hasbro molds come 2013 This seems awfully pointless
IMHO below: This looks like easy pass. based off the designs pics.
Too bad...looks interesting.
Yeah, I've heard nothing but horror stories about that toy in all it's variations...
Not since she fell into many pieces after coming out of the box, seriously the quality is shit.
I thought you lurved your Nightbird, LO?
No thanks, even if Impossible sold it for $1. I would still not get it. Impossible Toys has a long way to go when it comes to quality. You buy thins and I guarantee it will be in pieces before you take it out of the box
imho below: I'd like to know the size scale & price of this. I'm not sure how I feel about the design in either mode.
The Weibo page for Mech Planet has posted images of a new entry in their Hot Soldiers line of Legends-scaled figures: a version of Hearts of Steel Bumblebee! The hammer-wielding Bumblebee turns into a small steam locomotive which somehow manages to be incredibly cute. Keep reading to see the photos!
If the stock version of Grimlock, and by extension the torso mode of the Dinobot combiner Volcanicus aren't really doing it for you, Perfect Effect is again presenting an after market option to try to address that. PC-23 goes beyond PC-21's replacement hands and feet, giving new combiner body add-ons that will let the combined mode form in a slightly different way, as well as adding a huge sword that breaks down to be individual melee weapons for each Dinobot. And to top it off, it also includes replacement thigh and forearm pieces for Grimlock, making the robot taller - and probably facilitating some of the torso mode alterations. The kit is due in April. This week on Radio Free Cybertron: Lots of fun stuff going on this week! We announce the winners of our Twitter contest, we are giving away Titans Return Arcee and The Last Knight Valvotron! The voice cast for Power of the Prime was announced! We share our thoughts! Plus we speculate on rumored upcoming Transformers assortments. Also, there's a ton of other news this week including a heavy third party week, with new Combaticons, Aerialbots, and upgrade parts. We talk about the upcoming Movie Masterpiece Ironhide, new photos of Volcanicus and much, much more!
Coming from Weibo, we have some grey prototype images showing MechPlanet's small-scale Optimus Prime-alike. HS02 seems to be called "Mini Lider" and while the photo quality for many of these isn't great, it seems to be a decent representation of the character design. The photos we have show an energon axe and rifle, plus flip up panels on the forearm in a similar manner to the pop-up communicator screen from the Masterpiece. The chest is also conspicuously hinged, which probably means it has a matrix and storage space for it. You can find all these photos mirrored below!
We recently saw an unofficial, non-transforming, high detail action figure representing Optimus Prime from Transformers Prime by Iron Warrior. Iron Warrior has just shown off another upcoming figure of the same type, this one called "Strife 07" and based on Brawl from the 2007 Transformers movie. This figure likewise does not transform, but seems to focus on sculpt detail and articulation more. Unfortunately the provided photos don't represent the scale of the figure well, so it's unclear at this point whether Brawl will be appropriately large. You can check out the mirrored images below.
