Transformers Masterpiece Official Guide - Sample Page Images
RAC - Saturday, July 12, 2014

Via Autobase Aichi, we've learned that the website animeanime.jp has posted sample images of the Transformers Masterpiece Official Guide. The pages show Ultra Magnus, Bluestreak, Wheeljack, and a cameo by Bumblebee, but the most time in this set of samples is devoted to Masterpiece Sideswipe, who is covered extensively with official photos and design sketches. Keep reading to see the (kinda small) sample images!

Figure King magazine (by way of Transformers At The Moon) has photos of a bunch of new stuff this month! Much of it - MP-29+ Shockwave, MP-42 Cordon, Power of the Primes Novastar and Inferno, and more - are things we'd gotten a good look at before as stock images surfaced. But there's also a look at the "Golden Lagoon" version of MP-10 Optimus Prime, as well as the first look at MP Optimus Prime 3.0 - and it confirms RAC's suspicions about the figure. Click through to see!
Thanks to Planet Iacon, we have some new images from the Japanese figure magazine Figure King Magazine by way of Chris Delarmente. The new images show off more of the beast mode features as well a give us a size comparison with his other MP Beast Wars editions Dinobot and Optimus Primal. This guy is a good bit bigger than the other, almost to scale with the original cartoon, we're getting more than meets the T-Rex in this edition. Read on to see the images for the full preview below.
Masterpieces continue to climb in price, and so far the Beast Wars lineup has stood even that much higher than comparable Autobot or Decepticon releases. While it's still my person belief that the upcoming Megatron will not exceed the 25,000 Yen price tag that Dinobot will be launching with come the end of July or so, it's very likely to be right there alongside among the priciest of Masterpieces. Accessory inclusions are often a way to make a steep retail price easier to accept, but what could we see included with Megatron? Keep reading for some ideas.
Joining Cordon with a brand new product page on TakaraTomy's website today is the TakaraTomy Mall exclusive MP-29+ Shockwave, featuring a new deco inspired by the original toy, rather than the cartoon appearance. Sadly while Shockwave has a similar offering of turnaround "360 view" photography, these photos are of a much smaller size than Cordon's. But if you're looking for how the deco was handled from a particular angle, these should still have you covered. You can find the whole batch of both robot and gun mode photos mirrored below.
TakaraTomy has added a product page to their website for the recently announced MP-42 Cordon. While many of the images on the page are the same stock photos we've already seen, new to this posting is the set of "360 view" photos showing the figure in each mode from multiple turnaround angles. Sadly the amount of black on Cordon makes it fade a little too much in with the dark background, but this still affords some nice extra looks at Sunstreaker's retool.
