Michael Bay is set to do Transformers 4, or so Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson says so.
In an interview with MTV to promote Journey 2, Mr. Johnson spoke about doing upcoming flicks like Pain and Gain with Mr. Bay, who has said multiple times he will work on the film prior to going back to the giant robot franchise.
"I'm leaving all of my options on the table," he said back in December 2011 when a rumor popped up that he was close to committing to a deal to return for Transformers 4.
"The goal will be to shoot [Pain and Gain] this year," Mr. Johnson tells MTV. "He has Transformers to make, obviously. That juggernaut - can't wait for that."

There has been a lot of talk about him leaving during the press tour of Transformers Dark of the Moon, but then, during an earnings call back in October, Hasbro, Inc, CEO Brian Goldner said that the company is in "active discussions" about doing a fourth Transformers movie with Paramount Pictures, director Michael Bay, and executive producer Steven Spielberg.
Variety then threw more fuel onto the fire in October by reporting that sources close to the planning process have said that Transformers 4 and Transformers 5 will be filmed back-to-back and screenwriter Ehren Kruger has some ideas for the two installments. Bay, unsurprisingly, put the kibosh on that, calling the report untrue.
The story continued in December when New York Times' Vulture blog more or less reiterated Variety's report that a deal is close (or not close, depending on your outlook), but did not speak of the back-to-back film shooting.
Oddly enough, Mr. Bay did not flat-out deny this rumor even though he usually does (does not matter if they are true).
So, now we have another rumor from Mr. Johnson that he will be doing number 4. Is it true?
